Think Like A New Deal Futurist
We’re here for the new progressive-era, and to propose a service corps for the next frontier. A crew of astronaut-farmers and astronaut-chefs in a Moon-base that will enable humanity to do more space research and other space work.
We're here for every space worker who will sit down at our table and remember what it feels like to be human. We see space workers as people, and prioritize the values that make us human: purpose, community, an intentional relationship with our source of sustenance, and yes, good food too.
Humankind does not travel alone. We bring plants and animals with us, because they are part of us. Our lives are intertwined and without them, we are missing something. Moon Corps is building a future for all of us.

Moon Corps is the creative project of Portland, Oregon designer and artist Joe Wirtheim. A sister project of The Victory Garden of Tomorrow, Moon Corps envisions a future where humanity’s journey into the stars is intentional, inclusive, and accessible for all.
New Deal Futurists have a vision of national service, a crew of dedicated optimists united in support of the spirit of human exploration.
We’re telling their story in art and objects, building a world for optimists and dreamers to share in an inspiring adventure as we all navigate our changing reality.
